To the Polish Canadian Community in Ottawa
We cannot ignore the tragic blow to our country people caused by the disastrous floods that deprived them of their homes and means of existence.
We ask all people of goodwill to join us in our effort to help those in greatest need.
To coordinate the assistance, a Committee to Help Flood Victims in Poland was formed that can be joined by all those who care about the fate of our fatherland.
Donations in the form of checks should be made out to the Polish Heritage Foundation of Canada With an annotation: Flood Victims in Poland and should be mailed to:
World Exchange Plaza P.O.Box 81008 Ottawa,ON. K1P 1B1
Receipts for Income Tax purposes can be provided.
It is also possible to make use of special donation box prepared for this purpose in the SPK Polish House located at 379 Waverley Street every Wednesday evening between 18:00 and 21:00, and also during all Polish celebrations and events.
We realize that this can not be a one time effort, because the damage caused by the flood will take many years to repair.
Additional information on this topic can be obtained by telephone from the members of the Committee to Help Flood Victims in Poland.
