I am writing to ask for your financial help on behalf of the Ottawa Polonia Centre during our fundraising drive.
Our Ottawa Polonia Centre is the new Polish Community Centre of Ottawa and Gatineau. We are working hard to build
our vision and dream which will show all Polish people throughout Canada that Ottawa has a new place where we can
work, play, meet and live.
Since July 16, 2007 when we purchased the school for $1.3 million from the Ottawa Catholic School Board -
we had to do a lot of property maintenance and pay the operational costs of 6% mortgage from the
Toronto St. Stanislaus - St. Casimir’s Polish Parishes Credit Union and maintain the building.
Did you know that it is costing us approximately $11,950 to maintain the building monthly.
We are negotiating with possible new tenants to occupy our building for the next few years while
we will continue working on a building plan that will suit all our needs as a Polish community.
It would have from 40 to 60 Senior Rental Residences; some Business Retail spaces and parking.
We are asking you for your financial support for this worthwhile cause. We can make a difference to
all of us for generations to follow. Please check our new web-site for more update information and a
list of donors who have already given us their donations. Please add your name to our list of donors
and sponsors and make this dream a reality. Please make your charitable donation and cheques payable
to "St. Hyacinth Foundation Inc." and send to our address or 18 Louisa Street Ottawa Ontario K1R 6Y6 -
you may also put it in the Sunday collection basket at the Church - your charitable tax receipt will be
sent to you by us at end of each year. Our charitable non profit St. Hyacinth Foundation needs your
financial support from the whole Polonia, so please, help us through your generous donations and bequests/testaments.

The Polonia Centre is “Institutional” zoning meaning there is no property tax. When we apply for re-zoning to commercial and residential, then only, will we be paying the City of Ottawa property tax on the new complex. Our business plan is simple and straight forward, to have an Ottawa Polonia Centre building which we can all be proud of and can be used for all in the future.
The building would have six (6) levels: first two levels would be rental parking spaces lot, with couple of front retail rental spaces for stores. Third level would be a large rental banquet facility hall with rental office spaces for doctor, dentist and even the Ottawa Branch Credit Union, etc.. Next would be three levels of residential rental senior citizen (bachelor, one & two bedroom) apartments.
We want you to become one of the Ottawa Polonia builders with us. We know we can count on you to join us. We appreciate any suggestions and ideas you may have on this Polonia Centre.
This is a great beautiful start as we are now celebrating our 50th Anniversary in Ottawa this year.
